I am so excited about this week! Not only is it the week before Christmas and all the family get togethers, presents and seeing the faces of the kids as they open their gifts. But this is the week that I am finally done work… ok kinda done. Vacationing with my work with me… that counts doesn’t it?
Anyways I am vacationing with my family in Banff and really can’t wait to sit back and relax with them. Unwind, de-stress and just really appreciate how much they are growing, clinking wine glasses with my husband over a beautiful dinner. Even the kiddos are sitting through our nice dinners better so we actually get to enjoy them now. It’s the perfect time to really enjoy the life I work so hard for and the people I work so hard for.
This week reminds me to slow down and enjoy. I hope as you read this little message it you reminds you to slow down this week, unwind and appreciate all your blessings!
Life can be crazy, provide unwanted turns and a whole lot of stress but when you put it into perspective it really is amazing how much we have to be thankful for.
It’s only been a few days into our trip and I will say that I am having a bit of a detox. I am very much used to being in control of our movements, sticking to a routine, working and keeping busy. Our relaxed plan and agenda has been a bit of a struggle for me, that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate and love it, but I just have a hard time shutting down. Watching the kids and really listening to them has been the most amazing part of our trip. They are so amazing and I never want to miss out on their growing up. This holiday season take the time to stop and take it all in. It might be hard like it is for me but these years you will never get back. So enjoy the moment, the people and your life in it’s current state. Love every minute and be happy in every minute. When you do that the people around you notice and everyone will be in such a happier state.
Hope my money post has inspired you! Have a fabulous monday and please share with me how you relax on your family vacations. XO Jen
