So last week we chatted about the Top 10 How To Promote Your Blog and #6 was all about using Pinterest in your favor with Board Booster & Tailwind. So today I am going to be chatting all about how to use Board Booster to grow your blog traffic!
So let’s start by talking about how Pinterest is such a great way to increase traffic to your blog. First it is not a social media platform as there really is no social aspect that happens on pinterest. Instead think of Pinterest as a search engine, one where you can go on and search for anything. I find it better than google because most of the posts are from bloggers with beautiful images, great recipes, how to tutorials, inspiration and ideas.
The trick to doing well on Pinterest is to provide quality, quality and quality. Pinterest wants to have quality pins, from quality websites/blogs, with quality information in the description. This helps pinterest allow it’s search engine to determine which posts get bumped up in the algorithm. They also want the pinner to be a good quality pinner, which means you as the pinner need to be pinning only great quality items and on a regular basis. What they mean by regular basis is they want pins to be pinned through out the day consistently.
Enter Board Booster! This has made it so so easy first to be consistently on pinterest when am not actually on Pinterest and it allows me to constantly be repining posts from my blog over and over again which helps to keep traffic constantly going to new and old posts.
Here’s what Board Booster can do for you
The scheduler tool allows you to pin your posts to a secret board and then Board Booster will take those pins and repin them to a board of your choosing through out the day. Once a pin is used it will be removed from you secret board. You will need to go in maybe once a week and fill up your secret boards with new pins. Board Booster will send you an alert also if any of your secret boards are getting low.
This is really great of you because you can spend an hour once a week pinning to that secret Pinterest board and Board Booster will do all the work sharing those pins through out the week. The scheduler is only for other peoples pins, keep your blog pins for campaigns which we will talk about next.
Below is what my scheduler looks like. I use my most popular and full boards to schedule pins to.
Campaigns is my favourite, I use this only for my own content and Board Booster continuously repins those pins over and over again. So unlike the scheduler tool it does not empty my secret board it just constantly pulls from it and repins to specific boards.
So if you look below I have 3 boards – fall style, jewellery style, summer style, – these secret boards house my content that I continuously repin to my public Fall Style Board, Summer Style Board & Jewellery Style Board.
The reason this is my favourite is because it is taking my old posts and giving them life by directing traffic to my website through those pins. I personally wouldn’t have time or even think to be repining old blog post images.
I have recently added Group Board Repins which allows my content to be pinned to all my group boards through out the day and week. Group boards are so good at getting your pins out there but I was finding it hard to remember to pin to each board and not overwhelm them with my images all at once. So enter the Group Board Repin, this allows my pins to be repined slowly and still getting my content out there for more eyes.
The looping tool is really great for taking your old top performing pins on your current boards and repining them back to the top. I like this tool but find the first two to be the most beneficial.
Board Booster also has a FREE Trial so you can set yourself up and see how it goes before you decide to commit… but I will tell you that it is impressive and such must have!! It’s all part of setting yourself up for success and if you can set it up and leave it then do it! Nothing gets you to success than have the tools in place to get you there easily and stress free!
Board Booster is super simple to set up but can be a bit confusing when you first begin so I have created a FREE How To Set Up Your Board Booster Guide to help make it easy to set up Board Booster for yourself!
