I have always been a jeans girl. Yes I’ve ventured into joggers, leather leggings and capris but they are all still the the realm of comfort. Trousers have always meant office, dressed up and anything but comfort and casual.
But seriously that has all changed after my visit to Kelly Wollf on Whyte ave to meet Kelly herself. She is this amazing lady who is vibrant, energetic and has built a company that is completely about the customer and their experience. This is probably why I love shopping local so much because you get the real genuine connection with the business and owners. I love the real connection and appreciation they have for everyone that comes in the door.
The first thing Kelly does is tour me around the store, sharing the clothing she has in there from European designers and Canadian designers and her own designs.
She immediate picks up these trousers that I immediately think that’s not happening. I have no where to wear them. Then this oversize chunky sweater, I’m thinking ok it’s looking better but still not happening. Then she walks me all the way to the back and picks up these red patent shoes and my thought process changes. All these pieces together are not something that I would ever pick up, but together! Wow they look amazing!
So off to the dressing room we got to see if her outfit selection is a win! And really it was! I loved the whole look, however the knit sweater I am still dreaming about how cozy it was was a bit too oversize for my liking. So instead we swapped it out for a few different tops to find the perfect chic, comfortable and stylish look that fit the rest of the look. This is when this cute off the shoulder top comes into play checking off all my chic, comfortable and stylish boxes.
Kelly Wollf Boutique was such a positive experience, from entering and being welcomed, the decor and then the stylist being styled. It was great to get out of my box, break up with my denim for a while, not forever but definitely a few days a week!
