So what do you do on Easter to celebrate? Do you get together with the whole family? Do you put together a basket of easter eggs and have the kids hunt? Do you buy a mass of chocolate for the kids?
What about creating some super cute easter cards? Or some special custom mugs to give to the grandparents? Our usual Easter celebration begins with an easter egg and chocolate hunt, but now that I have kids of my own I’m not super keen on buying them all this chocolate so I thought this Easter post could inspire you to do a little something different with your day, your decor and some DIY. Have fun!
We have never been a family that sends out cards for every holiday, we can barely get Christmas done but I have to say with their really cute easter cards it makes me really want to send some out. Maybe not for every holiday but just a few through out the year for the fun of it. At Christmas you get so many so why not pick another holiday instead? And how can you refuse the really cute designs? Here’s a few of my favourites.
I love the Easter Egg Writing on this Easter Egg Card
LOVE LOVE LOVE this Hippity Hoppity Easter Card! How can you resist?
And of course I could not pass up sharing the Sparkly Easter Egg Card! It was too cute and would make a great family photo card.
Are you tempted to create a card to send out now? Those are only 3 of my favourites, there are so many more and so many styles to choose from. PS they also have a sale going on if you are a new customer you can get 20% your order which works perfect if you don’t have enough time to get easter. It lasts until 2016 so you have plenty of time.
So now we talked cards what about little gifts? Something small to give to the kids at school, make for the easter hunt or for any special friends. I am that mom that does the little gifts for each holiday… but I enjoy it and my kids are little, one day they won’t want them at all and I am thinking I will miss it so for now I’m going to enjoy being crafty for them.
How adorable is this? I found this Easter Gift Jar on Lil Luna which has the DIY and the printables to create these and the printables are for a friend, a neighbour or teachers. These would be too much for kids because think of all the jars you would be bringing in but so perfect for a teacher.
ADORABLE!! This is what I will be doing for the kids. Now just to find the candies in bulk! I found this Easter Egg Cone on Family Holiday.
GIFTS FOR THE BIG KIDS:
Yes Easter is not just for the little ones. Why not give yourself, your spouse or your close friends a little easter gift just for adults. This is the sweetest most thoughtful gift to give to good friends and family. I found this image on pinterest.
Maybe I’m a little biased since I love Stella & Dot but wouldn’t this make a perfect gift for the big kids? I know that I would love to get this on Easter and then wear it that night for the party! Just a little something to think about.
Such a great way to bring in the Easter Spirit in your home with this DIY canvas Fluffy Bunny Butt from Clean and Scentsible. I know my kids would be obsessed and giggling about this constantly. Check out her site because she has some more DIY bunny projects for you.
What a special craft this would be for the kids to work on, making salt dough eggs to hang from a tree. This would be a great craft for them, easy to do and give them such pride every time they see it.Visit Design Mom for the DIY details to create your own Easter Egg Ornaments.
