So last night I was lucky enough to be one of the first to attend the opening of Fleurs de Villes in Edmonton at Southgate Centre and see all the beautiful floral mannequins that were created by our very own local florists. This is the second year that Edmonton has been graced with Fleurs de Villes and if you missed seeing it last year then you definitely need to attend this year. Fleurs de Villes is in Edmonton from May 30 – June 3 at Southgate Centre for their third annual cross Canada tour. Plus there is this amazing fresh floral wall to take your selfies at!! It is incredible!
The smell of so many beautiful flowers is the very first thing you see but then you are stopped by the beauty and creativity of the floral mannequin installations. Each one has it own look and theme, created of just flowers and greenery. We spent a fair amount of time just trying to figure out how the flowers were put into the mannequins and how they were going to stay fresh all week. All I can say is that we have incredibly talented local florists to be able to come up with these designs and then make them work to hide how they stay fresh.
The floral mannequins will be on display for the public all weekend long, and are an amazing way to showcase local business, show community support and welcome the spring season (after this never-ending winter!). A pop-up fresh flower market will also be available for visitors to purchase fresh-cut flowers, bouquets and other floral accessories.
Below are just a few of the floral mannequins that I was loving and had to snap some photos of to share!!
This one stole my heart! She was a flapper holding a floral handbag!!
OBSESSED with this one!!

OMG this is a ballgown made of flowers and greenery and is beautiful!
The hair on this one is so beautiful and creative! I also really love the skirt!
Ok this one has culottes! Love when fashion totally takes a role in these designs!
For the brides this floral mannequin was wearing a wedding dress!
The ballet slippers are so pretty, the colours and that big tutu skirt is amazing!
This ones was the first that I saw and also probably my favourite. It’s just so fairy like with my favourite colours and flowers. Absolutely stunning!
Another fun thing about the night is I was able to see so many blogger friends! There is something about being surrounded by amazing inspiring people that really is uplifting! Special thanks to these babes for being my ladies for the night!! xo
