If you are traveling to Maui and are looking for the place that has it all I cannot recommend the Ritz Carlton Kapalua Maui enough. Their resort really does deliver the Aloha spirit, welcomes you in every aspect of your stay and gives you the feeling of a well deserved luxury.
Our room was beautiful, we faced the garden and had a view of the ocean. A view of the ocean is always my favourite. I find it incredibly calming and relaxing which is always what I need.
We had a suite, which had a full kitchen that looked into the living room. This suite also had an Nespresso machine which I just so happened to use several times a day! It was heaven to have such good coffee available.
The bedroom was so large and luxurious, both rooms had a balcony off them with that beautiful view. They both also had large screen tv’s for when you wanted to just chill and relax. Every night the hotel turned down our bed and left a little postcard that give details of different traditions and locations of Maui with a personal note from the staff wishing us a wonderful say. Oh and of course two little chocolate treats.
It is a resort so it does have everything you could need on the property including 2 golf courses (The PGA Tour Plantation Course to name one), 3 pools, spa, tennis courts, basketball court, 6 restaurants, lounge areas and all the views. There are also shuttles to the various restaurants on the property and a short cab ride from Lahaina which was one of my favourite places we visited. There is also a walk through cliffs to get to their very own labyrinth which was made by one of the staff. Oh and did I mention a short walk to a beautiful beach! It was absolute perfection!
What really got me though was the welcoming to the Ritz Carlton Maui. It starts with the grande entrance that really makes you feel like you have arrived at paradise. Then to be given a beautiful shell necklace and a refreshing drink all before you have checked in, and then having someone say “Welcome Mr & Mrs Kinal” (I think they found out who we were from Valet because we never told them). I seriously felt like crying with joy from the warm welcome to such a beautiful amazing place that I get to enjoy.
The food here was absolutely amazing! We loved the sushi bar in the resort, the italian restaurant a short shuttle away but still on the resort property. Our favourite though was the Burger Shack at the bottom of the hill beach front. We actually went back 2 times because we loved it so much. Their Shrimp Cocktail appetizer was AMAZING!! My husband and I just loved how fresh it was and the taste. The burgers were amazing and so were the milkshakes! Definitely get the Hula Girl Milkshake, it was our favourite with fresh grated coconut, a beautiful flower and coconut chocolate bar to top it off. The classic burger was also our favourite!
For those beach lovers like me who love the ocean and the sound of the waves The Ritz Carlton Kapalua Maui has a beach right beside the Burger Shack that has beautiful sand and crashing waves. In this bottom photo you can see the cliffs int he background those you can walk to (You can see my cliff photo above), when you follow this path it brings you to the Labyrinth that one of the staff made.
The Ritz Carlton Kapalua Maui was absolute heaven and I enjoyed every minute of soaking up the sun, beauty and luxury. If you are planning a trip to Maui I completely recommend it! We did more of the couples type of a trip but there was a great kids pool and playground so it’s great for families too.
Hope I have you dreaming about paradise and when your going to be booking your next trip! I’m going to be sharing our visit to the Olivine Pools coming up too which was really inspiring experience.
Stay tuned because coming in a month is our trip to St. John’s Newfoundland where we are staying at the Jag Hotel!!! Here comes more beautiful photos!
XO Thanks Beauties for joining me today!! Jen
